Sajek Valley |
Sajek Valley Is a known place to
every Bangladeshi traveler. At first I am giving the geographical information.Sajek
is situated in the Baghaichhari
Upazila in Rangamati
District of Bangladesh. Sajek Vally is 1800 ft above the sea level
as well as it is known as the queen of hill and roof of Rangamati.
Now a day’s Sajek is very popular
tourist spot. I went there in 2017. A few years ago it was so difficult to reach this place because of the
transportation service. But nowadays anyone can go to this place directly by
reserving jeep, CNG or Bike. If anyone likes hill, nature, cloud and sky they should
go there. You will be happy by seeing its natural beauty, when you will see
that the cloud touch your body then you will feel like you are living in the haven
of the Earth.
Me and my friend traveled there in 2017 by motor bike. We started our
travel at 5:45 am from Uttara, Dhaka Bangladesh. Before starting my journey I
filled up my motor bike fuel tank. I took 14 liter fuel. We took the Dhaka
Chittagong highway. We have taken our first break at Comilla cantonment. There
was a restaurant named Kakoli where took our break. We completed our breakfast
over there. We took chicken khichuri (Bangla spicy rice Food), Spicy Egg
omlette, paratha, mixed vegetable, soft drink, and tea. Then we started our
journey again.

Our next stop was little bit ahead of Baraiyarhat. We drank some
tea and puri (lentil snacks) but when the local people heard that we came from
Dhaka by bike, they did not take any money from us. They have given us lot of
respect. The road between Baraiyarhat to Khagrachhari is very scenic and
dangerous. In between the road we stopped our bike due to photography.
When we
reached Khagrachhari the time was 2:30 pm. important thing is that you have to
go Sajek Valley under the army squad.
Everyday Army squad leaves at 11:00 am and 3 or 3:30 pm from Dighinala. That is why we could not get time for lunch.
Dighinala to Sajek Valley road is very beautiful. A word of caution for this
road is that it is very narrow and the local jeep drivers are very reckless.
Who will go to Sajek by his own car or bike, they should remain in their own
lane at the road. Otherwise anything can happen. We reached Sajek Valley at 4:50 pm but we were very hungry. One thing I want to say, we did not book any
hotel for stay at over night. We eat food first. Our items were rice, chicken,
mixed vegetable, lintel and soft drink. Then we went out to find a hotel. We managed a hotel only at 250 BDT (it’s not
Regular price ) per person. The hotel name was Himaloy and we parked our bike
in front of the hotel. After getting the hotel we went out for diner to order.
If the food is not ordered beforehand, then you might not get any food later. For
the night we ordered bamboo chicken, rice, vegetable, mashed potato, etc. After
dinner we took coffee.
Me and my friend gossiped on the helipad. This moment is worth remembering for me.
In the morning when I woke up, I
opened the window and the cloud entered my room. After freshen up we first went
to Kanglak para. The hills are beautiful are beautiful there. I got local
bananas and Pomelo over there as well as they were selling tea and coffee. We
spent couple of time over there then we went Ruilui Para. We caught the morning
squad for coming back. It was almost 2:00 PM when we reached Khagrachari. We
took our lunch with red spinach, fish, lintel, some vegetable mash, chicken
rice and sweet yogurt. Then we visited hanging bridge and Alutila Cave. We enjoyed a lot at the Alutila cave. You have to buy ticket for Alutila Cave. Also you need a torch of light. You could buy it over there. We have taken 2 guides for this trekking. After finishing the trekking we drank young coconut juice. Couple of minute we stayed there and took some photos. Around 5:00 pm we started our journey back toward Dhaka
